Nicti

Everything your eyes need, nothing in your way

Blink reminders

Subtle nudges remind you to blink during focused work, so your eyes stay comfortable through long sessions.

Short and long breaks

Follow the 20-20-20 rule with short breaks, plus longer rests to step away from the screen at your own cadence.

Meeting-aware Do Not Disturb

Nicti detects active calls locally and pauses reminders, so a break prompt never pops up while you present or talk.

Private by design

Everything runs on your device. No accounts, no tracking, and meeting detection never leaves your computer.

Made to fit you

Choose the cue animation, screen position, size, and timing. Preview any reminder before you commit to it.

See a reminder before you install

This is a browser preview of the blink cue. The real app runs natively and respects your meetings - this page just shows the look and feel.

This is only a visual preview. Nicti itself does not run in the browser and collects no data here.

How Nicti works

It runs quietly in the background

Nicti sits out of the way and keeps a gentle eye on your screen time - no window to babysit.

It nudges you to blink and rest

When it is time, a soft cue appears where you chose it, then disappears on its own or when you are done.

It steps aside during meetings

When a call starts, reminders pause automatically and resume once you are free again.

Privacy

Meeting detection stays local on your device.

Nicti works without sign-up and stays useful without an internet connection. Only update checks and downloads need network access.

FAQ

FAQ

Common questions about how Nicti behaves, what it sees, and how it protects your privacy.

Will reminders interrupt me during meetings?

No. Nicti detects active calls locally and pauses reminders automatically. You can also turn on Do Not Disturb yourself at any time.

Does Nicti run in the background?

Yes. Nicti stays out of the way and only appears when it is time for a gentle reminder, then gets out of your way again.

Can I customize the reminders?

You can change the cue style, screen position, size, and how often blink and break reminders appear, and preview any reminder before waiting for the timer.

What data does Nicti collect?

The desktop app runs offline and collects nothing by default. Meeting detection stays on your device. The website uses only privacy-respecting analytics if you allow it.
